Meet the Founders

Scott and Ashley met in April 2013 and were married in May 2016, an e-harmony love story. They adventured/resided around Atlanta – from Midtown to Kirkwood to Decatur – before moving to Stone Mountain shortly after having their daughter, Cameron Rose. Ashley and Scott share a love for the Atlanta United, Excel spreadsheets, Disney movies, and Christmas. They are passionate about hemp and about building The Rose & Hemp. They want to set an example of how you can work hard AND enjoy your family, friends, and life!

Ashley

Founder and CEO

Born and raised in nearby Greenville SC. A competitive soccer player and enthusiastic high school student council member. Earned her Bachelor’s degree in business from University of South Carolina. Worked in consulting at a big-four accounting firm for 8 years before opening two Pure Barre fitness studios in the Virginia Highlands and Decatur neighborhoods of Atlanta. Ashley enjoys cooking, crafting, good coffee, a good massage, and any and all family time.

Scott

Founder and CFO

Born and raised in Quincy IL, where he went on to Quincy University to earn his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in business, while also playing college soccer and golf. Scott is a CPA, and has 10+ years Finance and Accounting consulting experience ranging from auditing public companies to business consulting to operations management. Scott enjoys collecting vinyl, hunting pheasant, and introducing his family to classic movies and music.

The Inspiration behind The Rose

The rose is inspired by Ashley & Scott’s beautiful daughter, Cameron Rose. “Cameron has given our life so much hope, joy, and purpose. Rose is also a family name and signifies the importance and theme of family in the shop. & Hemp is, well, inspired by hemp. Which gives millions of people these very same feelings of hope, joy, and purpose. So, The Rose & Hemp means to us: Family, Inspiration, Hope, Happiness, and Healing.
